As the national governing body for raft racing, the United States Rafting Association (USRA) hosts the USA National Championships each year. These championships are typically held in partnership with an established river festival and/or a local venue organizer. The event serves as the official team trials for qualifying U.S. raft racing teams for the following year’s international competitions, including representing Team USA at the World Rafting Championships. USA National Championships are conducted under standard international raft racing formats and rules.
