The Colorado men and women’s raft teams volunteered in October 2010 with the Eagle River Watershed Council as part of the Edwards Eagle River restoration project. Team members cut willow branches to create will wattles, or “logs” made from willow clippings. The wattles were used in an effort to stabilize the stream banks from further erosion and to provide shade and cooling to benefit the health of the river and fish. The US National Cup will take place within the event structure of the Upper Clackamas Whitewater Festival (UCWWF). Registration, timing, and results will be done separately from the UCWWF by USRA race officials.
